A clinical study was recently completed by Robert DiSilvestro of Ohio State University, which compared the effects of whey protein to soy on muscle tissue breakdown during exercise in healthy adult males. The study concluded that supplementing your diet with whey protein alone could actually cause above normal amounts of muscle breakdown during exercise.
